Celebrate Passover with Yavneh, The UU Fellowship of Raleigh, and As Salaam Islamic Center
Join us for a second-night pot-luck Passover Seder celebration and meal, co-sponsored by The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh and As Salaam Islamic Center. We will gather at 6:00 pm at the UU Fellowship, 3313 Wade Avenue in Raleigh.
We will examine how hearing the story of Passover can help us understand, and combat, many of the issues currently facing our society, especially issues arising from fear of the other:
Contribute to the Passover potluck by bringing items suitable for the holiday – either left-over from your first-night Seder or prepared fresh for this event. It's Passover, so no chametz please (any food product made from wheat, barley, rye, oats, spelt, or their derivatives, which has leavened/risen).
Vegetarian and vegan dish are welcome and encouraged. If you do bring meat (chicken, beef, or lamb), please be sure it is kosher or halal. Additional information is available here. We will provide matzah, wine, grape juice, and kosher-for-Passover salad dressings for the meal.
Never been to a Seder before? Don't worry – first timers are welcome!
An optional donation of $5/person, $10/family (or anything your budget allows) is requested to help defray costs.
