Tu B'Shevat seder, Sunday, February 5th, 3:30pm (virtual), led by Yavneh member Margie Sved. Tu B’Shevat (literally, the 15 th day of the month of Shevat) is an ancient Jewish Holiday to celebrate the New Year of the Trees. Having a short Tu B-Shevat Seder has become increasingly popular in recent years, because of the strong ecological themes.

However, to fully enjoy, you should have about 8 ounces of white wine or grape juice and about 8 ounces of red (or purple) wine or grape juice for each person. In addition, snack size amounts of the ceremonial foods include fruits with protective shells (such as walnuts, coconuts, bananas, almonds, pistachios), edible fruits with pits (such as olives, dates, apricots, cherries, avocados, peaches, plums), fruits which are entirely edible (figs, berries, seedless grapes), and a little maple syrup (or something similar to substitute).

The service will be displayed on screen. You can also download it here.
