Prayer and Remembrance

Prayers for Healing

Let us know if you wish us to include a loved one, friend, or yourself in our congregational prayers for healing of body, mind or spirit.

Either call the Yavneh office at 919-719-2747 and leave a message, or email us the name of the individual.  If possible, include the Hebrew name and the mother’s name (“so-and-so, the son/daughter of mother”) and suggest how long you wish the name to be included in our prayers.

Pastoral Visits

Contact Reb Raachel if you wish her to visit, rabbi@yavneh-raleigh.org.

It is traditional to offer tzedakah in honor of someone in need of healing.  We welcome your contribution to our community [tzedakah].

Memorial/Yahrzeit Observances

If you are in mourning for a loved one who died in recent days, please let us know so that we can remember him/her during Sh’loshim, the first 30 days of mourning.

Also, let us know if you are observing the Yahrzeit – the anniversary of passing of a loved one – in the coming days or weeks, so that we can remember him/her when reciting Mourner’s Kaddish.

Click here to complete a form with the required information.  The form will be forwarded to Reb Raachel for remembrance at Shabbat services.

It is traditional to mark a Yahrzeit by offering tzedakah in memory of our loved one.  We welcome your contribution to our community [tzedakah].
